Click on this link to view my picture book. I will use this when we are reading/writing realistic fiction.

  1. Sorry...for some reason the sound didn't work. It was just me reading the book to you. :) This is based on a semi-true story.

  2. I really liked the story and the visual, but the pages went by so quick before I could read them so I had to keep pausing the story. Great job though!

    1. I know, I'm sorry. I couldn't figure out how to slow the pages down. Also, there was supposed to be a voice recording of me reading it. Something went wrong when I published. I tried to fix it, but no luck. Technochallenged, once again!

  3. I decided to blog crash yours as well :-) Awww Stanley! I love the name you chose for your Seagull. I really like the theme of man and animals becoming friends, I think it's important for our students to be exposed to that as well. Do you think you will ever read this story to your class? Do you have the digital technology to share it with your students? I'm wondering if you think they would prefer digital book reading versus teacher book reading? (Just b/c they love technology?) Thanks for sharing!

    1. If we have time to work on digital books, I will show them this one. I think they would totally dig it. I am just frustrated with the lack of technology our school has. We just opened this year, so hopefully we can start to build on it.

  4. That was a fun story that your students would love too. Great idea! I think that even if you have limited technology you could still have your class make one together or in smaller groups depending what you do have. I have pondered the idea of having students bring their own devices to work on projects. I know students would love it, but I have some reservations about stealing, other student use, and fairness.
